Puffin
Puffin Island is a rocky islet in the Kotzebue Sound, Alaska. Puffins are adorable with their orange bills and webbed feet. Both tufted puffins and horned puffins were seen on this day in August in the notches in the rocky coast, flying, riding the ocean, or fishing for small fish. But puffins are at sea all winter, only to come back to land during breeding season. Photo © copyright by Debbie McCulliss.
