Southern Rockhopper Penguin

Falkland Islands

The Southern rockhopper penguin, the third smallest of the crested penguin species, has a unique crest design and a characteristic red color of their eyes. They live on rocky areas and vast green pastures. Dedicated hunters, they can jump into the sea from low-rise rocks and dive deep for krill and fish.
