Montana

Mountain lions, also known as cougars, are the biggest cat in North America, and the second heaviest cat after the jaguar. There is an estimated 30,000 mountain lions in the western United States. They are solitary animals and are very territorial. Mountain lions eat large mammals such as deer or smaller mammals such as rabbits or squirrels. Photo © copyright by Debbie McCulliss.
